Adoption of Codes of Ethics:

UJMD journals adhere to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing established by the UJMD Editorial Policy and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

 

Plagiarism Detection:

The submission and handling of all original, unpublished works comply with the plagiarism detection policy derived from the UJMD Editorial Policy.

Consequently, UJMD journals will reject any work found to contain any form of plagiarism, such as:

• Copying the work of others, whether in whole or in part.

• Self-plagiarism, whether total, partial, or incremental.

If plagiarism is confirmed, the Editorial Board will be informed of the extent of the plagiarism; the article will be rejected, and the author will be notified of the reason for the rejection.

To support the review process, all articles are checked using the anti-plagiarism tool Turnitin, aiming for a maximum similarity score of 15% (accounting for quoted text and common phrasing).

 

Open Access Policy:

The journal is published in a digital, open-access format via its official website (https://revistas.ujmd.edu.sv) and the various databases where it is indexed. Its articles are open access and published under the following license: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/deed.es
